Luminescence Images for Antibiotic Sifting
This project is a collaboration with C. Merlin from LCPME (CNRS UMR 7564) on the processing of antibiograms. Our contribution mostly focuses on the automation of the antibiogram analysis using OpenCV. Our input images come from a highly sensitive CCD Camera (Berthold Nightshade) which can detect the bioluminescence generated by bacteria. The images below show typical images (normal image on the left, high sensitivity bioluminescence on the right).


From the detection of the disk distribution on the left, we can reconstruct the antibiotic effect on the bioluminescence on the right:
